LEGAL
Terms of Service
Effective date: October 2, 2026 · Version 2026-10-02
These are platform terms for AppTestersPH, an app testing and research participation service. For questions, contact apptesters.ph@gmail.com. The operator’s registered legal name should be added if it differs from AppTestersPH.
These Terms of Service explain the rules for using AppTestersPH. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. Please also read our Privacy Notice.
1. Who may use AppTestersPH
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this platform age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate. People aged 13 to 17 may create accounts, but a builder or researcher may set a higher age limit or require additional consent for a particular opportunity. Do not apply if you do not meet that opportunity’s requirements. Our age minimum is an access rule; it does not decide legal capacity or make every contract, payment, or research activity suitable for every person under 18.
2. Accounts and account roles
Keep your login credentials private and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. The platform account role is tester. Testers may take part in app testing and, where eligible, surveys, interviews, or other research as respondents. Builder accounts are for people or organizations that create and manage opportunities; builder registration may be unavailable. You are responsible for activity under your account and must not impersonate another person or create accounts to evade a restriction.
3. How the service works
AppTestersPH provides tools to publish opportunities, discover and invite participants, manage applications, communicate about a session, and submit or review work. We are a platform connecting participants with builders and researchers. We are not the sponsor of every study, the employer of participants, or a party to every research relationship. Some features may be unavailable, changed, or offered only in a test environment.
4. Opportunities, participation, and research consent
Review each opportunity’s task, eligibility, effort, timing, reward, data requested, and any app or device requirements before accepting. Participation is voluntary. You may decline an invitation or stop before accepting. Once you accept, follow the stated task terms. A tester can leave an active session from Details with a reason of 10 to 2,000 characters. Leaving is blocked while submitted work awaits review or after work is confirmed. Contact the organizer or report a concern for assistance. This platform control does not remove any right to withdraw research consent or stop an unsafe activity. Leaving ends active session access and prevents rejoining the same session. Existing work, rewards, payouts, and participation history remain recorded. Builders and researchers are responsible for accurately describing their study, obtaining any consent they need, protecting information they collect, and honoring the opportunity terms. Do not submit sensitive personal information unless it is clearly requested for a legitimate purpose and you are comfortable providing it.
Session removal and replacement Testers
Builders must provide an accurate, relevant reason of 10 to 2,000 characters when removing an active tester. A reason meeting the character limit is not automatically a valid justification. Do not remove a tester to evade a reward, retaliate for a report, or misrepresent their participation. Removal is blocked while submitted work awaits review or after work is confirmed. A removed tester loses active session access, can see the recorded reason, and can report an unfair removal from the retained session Details. Builders may invite a different eligible tester into the freed place within the session capacity. Removal does not erase existing work, reward, or payout records.
5. Rewards, fees, and payment
A reward is available only when an opportunity states it, you satisfy its conditions, and the work is reviewed and confirmed under the stated terms. Prices and reward ranges shown on the site are references and may vary by project. A stated reward is not a guarantee of selection, completion approval, or a particular transfer date. Builders are responsible for setting clear, appropriate compensation and funding applicable fees and rewards. Payment methods, timing, minimums, taxes, reversals, cancellations, and dispute handling may depend on the opportunity and available payment service. Review the details shown before accepting. We do not promise that a payment feature is live or available in every location.
6. Your content and project materials
You retain rights to content you submit. You give AppTestersPH permission to host, process, display, and transmit that content as needed to operate the service and the opportunity you chose. Share only material you have permission to use. Public directory listing is optional and off by default. Enabling it publishes a limited profile preview while you are available. Use a preferred name and keep private contact details and sensitive information out of published fields. Public profile details are self-described and do not guarantee eligibility, qualifications, selection, or rewards. Invitations remain managed in the builder workspace. Builders and participants must respect confidentiality commitments and intellectual property rights. Do not upload malware, unlawful content, another person’s private information without authority, or confidential material outside the agreed task.
7. Acceptable use and safety
Do not use the service for unlawful, deceptive, discriminatory, abusive, or harmful activity; harass or threaten another user; manipulate reviews or research responses; evade payment or platform fees; misrepresent a task or reward; scrape accounts or data; interfere with platform security; or collect more personal information than an opportunity needs. Builders and researchers must not ask participants to install unsafe software or perform activities that create undisclosed security, financial, health, or physical risks.
8. Moderation, reports, and account closure
An enabled administrator reviews session complaints using the report, original project instructions, recorded removal reason, and available evidence. A formal warning or session closure through report review requires a resolved complaint upheld after review and a recorded explanation of at least 10 characters. A report alone does not impose a penalty. The builder and reporter receive the decision. Other members receive only a general closure notice when applicable. Closure cancels the session and expires pending invitations while preserving submissions, rewards, and payout history. It does not automatically reverse payments or issue refunds. Contact apptesters.ph@gmail.com if you believe a decision is incorrect or have additional evidence. We may review reports, restrict content, suspend access, or close accounts when reasonably needed to protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law, or enforce these terms. You may stop using the service and request account closure through the available account controls or the contact listed in the Privacy Notice. Closing an account may not erase records that must be retained for safety, payment, legal, or audit reasons. See the Privacy Notice.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features, eligibility, fees, and processes may change. We will update this page when terms change and show the revised date. If a material change requires renewed agreement, we will ask you to accept it before continuing to use the affected feature.
10. Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent allowed by applicable law, the service is provided as available. We do not guarantee a particular number of opportunities, participants, research outcomes, app quality, selection, or reward. Each user is responsible for their own decisions and for complying with laws that apply to them. Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are subject to applicable Philippine law, without limiting mandatory rights available where you live. Questions about these terms can be sent to the service operator using the contact details in the Privacy Notice.
