Privacy Notice

Effective date: October 2, 2026 · Updated October 5, 2026 · Version 2026-10-05

This notice describes the platform’s current intended data practices. Email apptesters.ph@gmail.com for privacy questions or requests. Provider locations and exact retention periods remain unconfirmed.

This notice explains what information AppTestersPH handles when you create an account or participate in app testing, surveys, interviews, or research. Please also review our Terms of Service.

1. Who is responsible for your information

AppTestersPH is currently operated by its owner under the AppTestersPH name. It is not currently a registered business. “We” in this notice refers to the operator of AppTestersPH. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to apptesters.ph@gmail.com.

2. Information we handle

Depending on how you use the platform, we handle your email address, password credentials through our authentication provider, preferred/display name, account role, profile details such as devices, platforms, experience and interests, opportunity applications and invitations, messages, submitted work and reports, reward and payout details you choose to provide, and records needed to operate and secure the service. Session exit records include session and account identifiers, who initiated the exit, whether it was voluntary or a removal, the reason, timestamp, and a snapshot of relevant project details. Reports may include evidence, original project details and the recorded exit reason, review status, administrator findings, explanations, and moderation actions. We may also receive basic technical and service logs such as request identifiers, timestamps, and security events. Do not enter a legal name in your public preferred-name field or include sensitive information in a profile or task response unless it is necessary and clearly explained.

3. Why we use it

We use information to create and secure accounts; show profiles and opportunities; match, invite, and communicate with participants; run app testing, surveys, interviews, and research; receive and review submissions; administer rewards and payments when available; respond to requests and reports; manage departures, removals, replacement places, and session access; assess complaints and record reviewed moderation decisions; prevent abuse and protect the service; meet legal obligations; and improve the platform. We use information only for purposes that are lawful, disclosed, and proportionate to the service.

4. What other users can see

Public directory listing is off by default. If you enable Show in public directory and save your profile while available, visitors can see your preferred name, up to 180 characters of your bio, up to 80 characters of your experience description, and selected professions, platforms, and feedback interests on /find-testers. Emails, device details, payout information, session records, and full bios are excluded from directory responses. Avoid sensitive information in the fields you publish. Turn off public listing and save to stop appearing in future directory requests. People or search services may retain copies already viewed or indexed outside our control. Builders and researchers may see the preferred name and profile information needed to assess eligibility and run an opportunity. Opportunity organizers may receive your application, messages, and submitted work. Enabled administrators may review limited available-tester profile details and project requirements to source participants for paid assisted sessions, even when a tester has not opted into public directory listing. Invitations remain optional for the tester. Admin analytics use aggregate account, payment, and operational counts. Sourcing assignment, invitation, and progress actions are recorded for accountability. Payout managers may access payout details when processing a reward. Exit records are available to the affected tester, owning builder, and enabled report administrators. Administrators review complaint details and evidence. The reporter and owning builder receive the moderation decision. Other members receive only a general closure notice when applicable. Exit reasons and complaint evidence are not published in public profiles or search metadata. Leaving or removal ends active session chat access but does not delete previously recorded messages or submissions. Avoid putting your legal name or contact details in public profile text or task submissions unless the specific opportunity explains why they are needed.

5. Service providers and other disclosures

We use third-party infrastructure to provide authentication, databases, hosting, email or communications, security, and payment or payout functions when those features are enabled. Those providers process information to provide their services under their own terms and applicable safeguards. We may disclose information to the relevant opportunity organizer, to a provider needed to deliver the service, when you direct us to, or when disclosure is required to protect rights, safety, or comply with law. We do not sell personal information for money.

6. Children and younger users

The platform’s minimum account age is 13. This is an access rule, not a statement that age alone establishes legal capacity or consent for every kind of personal-data processing or research. We do not ask for a date of birth at signup. Users aged 13 to 17 should use a preferred name, avoid sharing sensitive personal information, and check an opportunity’s eligibility and data-use details before participating. A builder or researcher may set a higher minimum age or require additional consent for a specific study. If you believe a child provided information in a way that is not appropriate for the service, email apptesters.ph@gmail.com so we can review it.

7. Storage, security, and retention

We use access controls and technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can promise absolute security. Leaving, removal, or moderation closure does not automatically delete exit reasons, project snapshots, reports, moderation decisions, submissions, messages, reward records, payout history, or audit records. We retain information while needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, protect users, maintain financial and audit records, or meet legal obligations. When an account is closed, profile information may be anonymized while project, payment, safety, and audit records remain where necessary. Exact retention periods and provider locations will be published when confirmed by the operator.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

You can review and update some profile details in your account and may request access, correction, blocking, deletion, or other rights available under applicable privacy law. Some records may need to be kept for legal, safety, payment, or audit reasons. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. This does not affect processing already carried out lawfully. Email apptesters.ph@gmail.com to make a privacy request or raise a concern. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

9. Cookies, local storage, and external links

The application may store authentication or interface state in your browser so you can sign in and use the service. External links, including app stores and third-party payment or research tools, are governed by the destination’s own privacy practices. Review those notices before using an external service.

10. Changes and contact

We will update this notice when our practices or legal requirements change and display a new version date. If a change needs renewed consent, we will ask for it. For questions, access/correction/deletion requests, or complaints, contact apptesters.ph@gmail.com.
